Georgetown Law Appoints New Law Librarian

Earlier this month, Georgetown Law announced that Michelle Wu had been appointed as the school’s new professor of law and law library director. After the surprising death of the library’s last director, Robert Oakley, the position was held by law librarian Peggy Fry. The school’s dean, William M. Treanor, made the announcement, saying “”Michelle brings a wealth of law librarianship experience, and we are delighted to welcome her to Georgetown Law … We also offer our deepest gratitude to Peggy Fry for her outstanding leadership and service to our community.” Wu previously worked as the associate dean of information services at Hofstra University School of Law. Her earlier posts also included acting director and associate director of the University of Houston School of Law’s O’Quinn Law Library. Wu received her own J.D. degree from California Western School of Law and continued her studies by gaining an M. Libr. with Law Librarianship Certificate from the University of Washington.
