Fridays From the Frontline

Welcome to Fridays From the Frontlines!  Every week the Clear Admit team explores the blawgosphere to find and report the newest stories.  This week, the relative pros and cons of law school were considered by many a current student, while 0Ls focused on LSAT results and preparation.

0L Law School Dreamer anxiously awaited her LSAT score, momentarily wished not to see it, but, in the end, happily reported her result. 0L Miss-B balanced LSAT study prep with her continued Masters work. 0L Vodka Sours wondered if she was on her way to becoming a bitter lawyer.

1L Ricky Nelson lost nearly thirty pounds in the last three months, hopefully  he can keep the good work up once law schools starts. UVA ’13 Legal MBAyhem shared a few shots of the beautiful scenery she encountered while traveling along the French Riviera. NYU ’12 IDWSJ ruminated on the value of adding a law review position on one’s resume and came to a few helpful conclusions. Northwestern ’12 Jeremy enjoyed an 80-minute lunch with the Chairman of his internship firm and took away a lot of great lessons about what it takes to become a successful leader.

Marshall ’11 Huma reflected on her summer Federal Criminal Law class and the issue of internet piracy and due process.  3L New Law Mom found that family and life sometimes takes precedence over law school even if that means grades suffer, but looked forward to her third year. 3L Point & Glick shared a story that changed his perspective on the role of criminal defense attorneys. 3L Lisslo attended her ten year college reunion and realized that Facebook was a poor substitute for a real-life hug. 3L The Exit received an email asking for 1L orientation leaders and shared what her tour script would sound like. Minnesota ’11 Jansen explained his position on blogging anonymity and branding and asserted his posting sobriety. 3L Law School Ninja shared her frustrations about a particular case she has been working on and the inherent problem with the system.

And that concludes this round of Fridays From the Frontline. We hope you all enjoyed a relaxing long weekend and that the sights and sounds of the fourth were equally beautiful and awe inducing. Until next week, have a great weekend!
